FULL-TIME - MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 4
A staggering result, absolutely staggering. Millwall, who had won their last five in a row before today, are completely destroyed at home by MK Dons - the team that bounce back like no other.
Keen to put right the wrongs of last week's defeat to Peterborough, Roberto Di Matteo's side took Millwall apart this afternoon, putting four past a side that had only conceded once in their last four games.
Sean O'Hanlon got the ball rolling, hooking home on nine minutes from Peter Leven's corner before Sam Baldock made it two in first-half stoppage time - rounding 'keeper David Forde after racing onto debutat Luke Chadwick's pass.
The game was finished just after the hour-mark when Lions skipper Paul Robinson put through his own net under pressure from Ali Gerba and Baldock put added gloss on the scoreline by bundling home from close range with a minute to go after Mark Wright's deflected shot had hit the crossbar.
Defensive resilience, creative genius, lethal finishing at the home of the league's form team.
An incredible day at the office.
89mins - GOAL! MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 4 - SAM BALDOCK
Find me a result to better this one this weekend and I'll eat my hat. Poacher extraordinaire Baldock makes it seven for the season with a tap-in after Wright's deflected drive had looped over Forde and bounced off the crossbar. Baldock is waiting almost with a smile on his face as the Millwall 'keeper lies helpless in the net and simply lifts the ball into the net from a yard. Just incredible.
88mins - Free-kick looks to be all that will come of that. Leven is down getting treatment and the referee is happy that a free-kick is punishment enough.
87mins - Leven is rolling around having been caught late by Alexander, who has been booked. Referee is talking to his assistant...
86mins - There have been a lot of standout performances from the Dons today, in fact it's tough to pick anyone who has been average. Llera, O'Hanlon, Navarro, Cummings, Chadwick - take your pick for man of the match.
84mins - Dons determined to close with a clean sheet as Llera heads successive corners away. You get the feeling both sides would pack up and go home now.
83mins - Luke Chadwick is the man to make way for Sturm. He's tired a little in the second half but in the first he was sensational. Great debut.
82mins - Dons preparing a change as the Millwall pair receive treatment. Florian Sturm is ready to come on.
81mins - Complete lack of communication between Robinson and Whitbread in the Millwall defence as they both challenge for Leven's ball forward, clash heads and both hit the deck. Home supporters, while concerned, are not impressed.
80mins - Millwall try to mount a charge with Hackett coming forward at pace from right-back. He runs into Dean Lewington though, who steps across, takes the ball off him and sends the Dons away into Millwall territory. Brilliant.
79mins - Final change for Millwall who replace Martin with Karl Moore down the left.
76mins - Rather bizarre restart from referee Mike Russell, who bounces a drop ball so heavily between Navarro and Martin that they could have had eachother's eyes out challenging for it! Plenty of home fans making an early exit.
75mins - Cummings, who's been excellent at right-back today, takes no chances with Martin down the Millwall left and just sticks a foot-in to concede a throw. Cummings has come in for a bit of criticism from some sections of the Dons support in recent weeks but he's been impressive today - solid in defence and comfortable in possession.
73mins - Millwall's afternoon in a nutshell as Martin takes a free-kick from wide on the left and swings it left footed straight behind for a goal-kick.
71mins - Ambitious one from Chadwick, who takes on Baldock's lofted pass with a volley from 20 yards and the ball flies into the stand behind the goal. Great chasing and hold-up play from Baldock.
70mins - Best strike of the half for the home side as Alexander sets the ball back for Laird and the substitute fizzes a half-volley just wide from 25 yards.
69mins - Forbes blocks a Cummings clearance in the Dons left corner for a throw-in. Millwall fans are less than enthusiastic about giving the ball back to the on-loan Chelsea youngster, to Cummings' mild amusement.
68mins - Leven concedes a free-kick on the Millwall right, whipped into the area by Millwall's Martin and headed clear by Lewington.
64mins - Millwall make an immediate change with Noel-Williams being replaced up front by Adrian Forbes. There are a few boos for Noel-Williams but that might be for the team in general. Three down at home after five wins in a row.
62mins - GOAL! MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 3 - PAUL ROBINSON (OG)
This is bordering the sensational now. Dons launch a counter-attack with Wright feeding Gerba on halfway whose first-time pass sets Baldock into space down the right. The young striker drives infield and slips the ball in behind Robinson for Gerba to chase, Robinson gets their first and diverts it past his own onrushing 'keeper with Gerba on his tail. Unbelievable.
61mins - Noel-Williams shows that lack of match sharpness as Grabban slides a ball into the inside right channel. The striker looks favourite to reach it but the ball just runs further and further away from him for a goal-kick.
60mins - Winter is here for Eddie Newton - the Dons assistant manager is on the edge of his technical area sporting a warm-looking beanie hat. He's barking instructions on his manager's behalf and it's so far so good for the visitors.
59mins - Martin finds a way round Cummings down the Millwall left before driving the ball firmly to the near post where O'Hanlon blocks under pressure from Noel-Williams.
57mins - Millwall fans are making an almighty din all around the ground. They're not singing anything in particular, it's just a constant flow of noise all around the New Den. Their team are trying to respond but the Dons continue to defend resolutely.
56mins - Grabban looks to have a bit of space in the inside right channel but has the door slammed in his face by Lewington as he tries to shoot from the edge of the box. Great block from the Dons skipper.
54mins - Baldock is booked for shooting goalwards having been flagged offside down the inside right channel. It's a petty one, but one you can't get away with these days.
52mins - It's all a bit rushed from the home side at the moment as the ball breaks kindly off Llera to Grabban halfway inside the Dons half. The winger moves the ball out of his feet in a central position but shoots straight at Gueret from 25 yards when he had room to carry on.
51mins - Millwall playing with a strong wind at their backs in the second half and it's causing the Dons some problems with their clearances. Alexander juggles the ball inside the area before being outmuscled by Llera and O'Hanlon hacks the ball away.
49mins - Scrappy start to the half, Millwall trying to mount some pressure and the Dons just happy to keep them out at the moment. A break is only round the corner though as Baldock tries to get on the end of a Gerba ball over the top.
4.04pm - SECOND HALF KICK OFF
Dons get the second half started. One change at the break for Millwall with Marc Laird coming on for Ali Fuseini.
HALF-TIME - MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 2
Superb first-half performance from the Dons, who head into the break leading in-form Millwall on their own patch thanks to goals from Sean O'Hanlon and Sam Baldock.
It's everything the travelling Dons fans could have hoped for - defensive resilience, quality football and excellent finishing from a team that seems to relish bouncing back from defeat.
Roberto Di Matteo's men gave themselves the perfect start on nine minutes - O'Hanlon hooking home after Peter Leven's corner from the right had caused havoc before showing real steel to hold off the Millwall response.
A few tackles have flown in - five players have been booked in the opening half and four of them have been Dons - but Millwall have been unable to put together any of the play that has seen them win their last five.
Debutant Luke Chadwick has been superb for the visitors, driving at the home defence both from the left and from central. He set up the second for Baldock in first-half injury time - sending a beautifully-weighted pass in behind the Lions defence before Baldock rounded the goalkeeper and slotted in.
Lewis Grabban has been a handful down the Millwall right and drew a fine save from Willy Gueret on 22 minutes, but Gueret's defenders have served him well up to now, preventing any other genuine openings.
45+1mins - GOAL! MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 2 - SAM BALDOCK
Dons do double the lead this time and it's the little man who's done it again! Chadwick shows great feet to get away from Fuseini down the left before driving infield and sliding a superb pass into Baldock's path in behind the Millwall defence. Forde races out but Baldock skoots round him before rolling into the unguarded net with his left foot. Six goals for the season for Super Sam and the Dons are in a terrific position at the New Den.
44mins - What a glorious chance for the Dons to double their lead before the break but Forde denies Wright with his legs. Chadwick again runs at the Millwall defence from a central position, plays a one-two with Leven into the area before pulling a lovely ball back from the dead-ball line on the left. It comes to Wright 12 yards out but his low effort is blocked by the Millwall 'keeper.
42mins - Bit of a scuffle in midfield as Abdou flies in late on Navarro on halfway. Dons get the free-kick by Navarro reacts angrily and bodies wade in from everywhere. Nothing too serious but it's a booking for Abdou and a word for Navarro.
41mins - Chadwick again finds himself attacking the Millwall defence from a central position, working a one-two with Wright before his low cross from the right is gathered by Forde at his near post.
40mins - Claps all round from the Dons defence as they clear Hackett's corner from the right and all rush out to force an offside when the ball is put back into the area.
39mins - Dons need to get to the break with this lead intact. Millwall are huffing and puffing a little bit at the moment and seem to be building momentum.
38mins - Another booking, this time for Wright for a foul on Martin. The Dons winger is adament Martin was pushing him before that as the ball raced towards the Dons area down the left flank but he has his name taken.
37mins - Leven is booked for preventing Millwall taking a quick free-kick inside their own half.
36mins - Home supporters becoming frustrated and the cries of outrage this time are for a foul being given against Noel-Williams for charging into the back of Lewington.
33mins - Good little break from Baldock down the Dons right and he fires a low ball into the centre which is just cleared before Chadwick can slide it in.
32mins - Great block from Llera in the Dons defence as Abdou winds up a shot from just outside the area. It hits the Spaniard and flies over for a corner, which is taken by Hackett and the whistle goes for a push on Cummings.
31mins - Good spell of pressure from Millwall this time as Grabban works a corner shot to Hackett, whose cross from the right is headed back by Robinson and away by Lewington. It's worked forward to Alexander on the edge of the area but his weak shot is easily gathered by Gueret.
28mins - Dons close to making it two as another terrific set-piece from Leven from the right is flicked on by Llera and Baldock's looping head is touched over by Forde. The corner is cleared but Leven slides Gerba into the box and he just puts the ball wide under pressure from the 'keeper. Good Dons pressure.
27mins - Very late challenge from Martin on Cummings down the Dons right halfway inside the Millwall half and the winger is booked for his troubles.
25mins - Cummings dumps a Hackett cross from the right behind for a corner, Martin drifts it in left footed and there's a huge shout for handball from the home fans. The hand was that of their own player - Zak Whitbread. Free-kick Dons.
22mins - Fantastic save from Gueret as the Dons fail to deal with Hackett's cross from the right, it drops invitingly for Grabban 16 yards from goal and his low volley is met by a strong arm from the French 'keeper. Frustrated at the save, Grabban flies into a late one of Leven in the area and Dons have a free-kick.
20mins - For a side that has only conceded twice in the last five games, Millwall have not looked the most comfortable at the back. Several times they've been forced into hurried clearances in these opening 20 minutes and they've been far from assured under the high ball.
19mins - First booking comes and it's Chadwick on the receiving end. He can have few complaints, it was a pretty cynical trip on Martin as the Millwall man tried to run down the left.
17mins - Cummings helps a ball over the top that Millwall don't clear convincingly, it comes to Chadwick who carries the ball forward before his shot is deflected for a corner on the left side. Wright takes it low to the near post, Llera gets a flick on it and Forde scrambles out of his goal to dive on the ball loose in his six-yard box.
15mins - Free-kick goes against Llera this time as he catches Noel-Williams in an aerial challenge. It's not heated yet but it could go that way. Leven trips Martin pretty cynically in the Millwall half and tempers rise again.
14mins - Play restarts with a Dons free-kick as Lewington rejoins the action. No card for Alexander and, in fairness, it's his first offence.
13mins - Lewington skips past Grabban before being caught late by Alexander halfway inside the Dons half. Llera is furious with the challenge as treatment arrives for Lewington and the referee is having a word with Alexander.
11mins - Alexander dragged a shot wide in anger just after the restart but it never looked likely to trouble Gueret. Chadwick has been allowed to roam into the centre of the park in the opening 10 minutes as he looks to influence the game and the Dons look a real menace with pace on the break.
9mins - GOAL! MILLWALL 0 MK DONS 1 - SEAN O'HANLON
It's a scrappy opening goal but the Dons won't care a jot. Leven's corner from the right is a devilish one, whipped in at head height with real pace, Gerba makes a nuisance of himself at the near post and O'Hanlon improvises well to hook into the top-corner via the crossbar from five yards.
8mins - Nervous moments for the home side as Millwall look to up the pressure. The right side seems the favoured one for the home team with Hackett pressing on from full-back to support Grabban but Llera clears the formers cross well.
5mins - Great chance for Millwall as Grabban's one-two with Noel-Williams puts him in on the right of the area. He shoots across Gueret but it's well wide of the far post and Cummings jumps over it to allow the ball to run for a goal-kick. There was a lovely turn from Gerba on Craig on halfway moments ago but Robinson was alive to cover the danger.
4mins - Navarro had the curling effort from 20 yards but it deflects wide to Cummings on the right. Cummings tries to dink the ball into the box and Robinson hacks away into the wind for a corner. Leven's delivery is cleared.
3mins - Lovely early move from the visitors as Lewington wins a tackle against Grabban down the left and backheels for Chadwick inside him. Chadwick's run is a driving one before he passes to Gerba who is fouled on the edge of the box. Free-kick.
3.00pm - KICK-OFF Referee Mike Russell gets the game underway, Millwall kicking off in blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks. The Dons, all in red, are playing from right to left as we look at it.
3.00pm - Dean Lewington has won the toss and will attack the end housing the Dons fans in the first half.
2.57pm - Teams are out of the tunnel going through the fairplay handshake before breaking to their respective ends. Dons players applaud the supporters behind the goal and go through their final preparations. Millwall 'keeper David Forde goes round each of his team mates high-fiving, back slapping and generally firing them up. Pre-match photos and formalities and we'll be ready for the off.
2.56pm - Bruce Springsteen's No Surrender is the song blaring out of the PA system here at the New Den and from a Kenny Jackett side you'd expect no less. The rest of the noise is coming from the away end behind the goal to our left where around 300-400 Dons fans are housed in the upper tier. Millwall's main body of support is in the stand opposite and the one housing Clockwatch alongside the side of the pitch.
2.52pm - We're experiencing some website technical difficulties this afternoon so if the service is somewhat delayed or interrupted we apologise.
TEAM NEWS - Big news for the Dons is that goalkeeper Willy Gueret is fit to play after suffering a thigh injury last week. Gueret starts in goal behind a defence with Shaun Cummings at right-back and a midfield with Mark Wright on the right, Peter Leven and Alan Navarro in the centre and Luke Chadwick on the left. Sam Baldock partners Ali Gerba in attack.
Millwall make two changes from the side that started last week's win at Swindon. Zak Whitbread replaces Andy Frampton at left back and Gifton Noel-Williams, who recently had a trial spell with the Dons, replacing the suspended Jermaine Easter in attack.
2.45pm - Welcome to the New Den as MK Dons again look to bounce back from a League 1 defeat - something they have managed remarkably well so far this season, but they'll have their work cut out against the division's form side this afternoon.
Millwall come into the game on the back of five straight wins - a feat which earned boss Kenny Jackett the manager of the month award - and currently sitting fifth in the table. With defeats for Oldham and Leeds already this weekend, it's a huge chance for the Lions to make serious ground on the leaders.
It's a chilly autumn afternoon in South East London, we'll take you through the teams in a few minutes and the action starts at 3.00pm.
