Midfielder Luke Chadwick continued to get to know his new team mates this morning as MK Dons stepped up their preparations for Saturday's trip to in-form Millwall.

Having agreed a three-month loan from Championship side Norwich City on Wednesday, Chadwick enjoyed his second training session with Roberto Di Matteo's side at the Club's Woughton training ground.

Goalkeeper Willy Gueret was a notable absentee from the session -  the Frenchman still suffering from a thigh injury picked up against Peterborough last week. Aaron Wilbraham also sat out the morning as he awaits news on his ankle ligament injury.

Despite the sunshine, their was a distinct autumn chill in the air but the action on the training pitch quickly warmed things up. Thursday's usual team play and technical work was followed by a small sided game and some finishing practice.

Several looked sharp in the finishing session, but the pick of the morning strikes were in the small-sided game - Alan Navarro and Chadwick himself both producing wonderful long-range strikes for either side on the way to a win for Navarro's yellow team.

Mark Wright and Jude Stirling

Mark Wright is pursued by Jude Stirling in the Thursday morning session.

Nathan Abbey and Under 18 goalkeeper Kurt Fox were the men between the sticks in Gueret's continued absence. The Frenchman will be assessed on Friday to determine whether he can face the Lions on Saturday.

Austrian winger Florian Sturm also took full part in the session having returned to training this week after a groin strain.

The Dons travel to the New Den to face a Lions side that has won their last five games in a row and currently sits fifth in the League 1 table.

Supporters travelling to the New Den on Saturday are reminded that Under 16 tickets are priced just £1 when purchased in advance. Click here for full details.
