CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING

Posted on: Fri 03 Oct 2008

This week sees another round of Champions League matches, and bet365 are predicting a clean sweep for the English teams.

On Tuesday night, Man United should trounce Danish outfit Aab judging by the match odds of 2/5. If you want to get with the Red Devils, then bigger odds can be found in the correct score market, where United to win 3-0 is 17/2.

At the Emirates, Arsenal are 1/2 with bet365 to beat FC Porto, but they will need to put in a better performance than they did against Dynamo Kiev (1-1). Still, you've got to fancy them to get the job done, and a 2-0 scoreline (5/1) looks about right. A double on United and Arsenal both to win pays 11/10.

Wednesday night sees both Chelsea and Liverpool in action. The Blues ought to beat CFR Cluj-Napoca at 4/9, but the Romanian side shouldn't be underestimated after they beat Roma 2-1 last time. Still, Blues backers can be fairly confident of a return, and a bet on a 2-1 scoreline at 13/2 could also pay dividends.

At Anfield, Liverpool are 4/9 to beat PSV, and a more lucrative even money to be leading at the break too. A double on Chelsea and Liverpool pays nearly 11/10, while an accumulator on all four English teams winning pays £43.81 at the current odds.
