Milton Keynes Dons FC has today (Friday) agreed to extend Shaun Cummings' loan from Chelsea until January 2009.
The versatile 19-year-old, in his fourth year with the Blues, joined Roberto Di Matteo's Dons squad initially for a month, but will now remain at stadiummk at least until January 4.
Having arrived in early August, Shaun went on to make an immediate impression on Dons supporters with a strong performance at left-back in the pre-season friendly win against Watford.
Shaun bedded down superbly into the Dons setup, and made his Football League debut as a substitute in last Saturday's derby win over Northampton Town - utilising his athleticism and outstanding technique impressively down the left flank.
Equally capable at full-back, wide on either side of midfield, or even in attack, Shaun's versatility should prove an important tool for the Dons over the coming months.
The extension of his loan will also see him made eligible to play for MK in cup competitions.
