Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret has been named in the Football League's League 1 Team of the Week after his stellar performance against Northampton Town.

Gueret, who picked up Puma's Golden Glove for his 23 clean sheets in League 2 last season before the game, was in imperious form in the Dons goal as Roberto Di Matteo's men registered their first league win of the new campaign.

Gueret made excellent first-half saves from Adebayo Akinfenwa and Leon Constantine as well as clinging on to a Danny Jackman free-kick after the break. The highlight of the Frenchman's performance though came in stoppage time, when he heroically saved at Akinfenwa's feet to ensure the Dons took all the points.
