RAIN CAN'T DAMPEN DONS SPIRIT

Posted on: Tue 12 Aug 2008

The rain couldn't put a downer on the MK Dons squad this morning as they continued their preparations for Saturday's League 1 opener at Leicester City.

Roberto Di Matteo's team trained in torrential rain at stadiummk, but the session remained lively-as-ever as the League 2 Champions prepared for their first game in their new division.

New signing Ali Gerba took full part in the session along with Kevin Gallen, Drissa Diallo and Danny Swailes, all returning from injury in recent weeks.

An intensive warm-up taken by fitness coach Ade Mafe was followed by some technical work and team-play before a game to close out the session. With the weather improving towards the end of the shift, some did some extra work on shooting and free-kicks before calling it a day.

The squad looked impressively sharp with the new season just two days away and gave the manager plenty of food for though ahead of his first team selection.

Supporters can purchase tickets for the trip to Leicester from the MK Dons Box Office until 5.00pm on Friday 8 August. Click here for further information.
