Dons manager Paul Ince has beaten off competition from a host of Premier League managers to pick up another award - this time from the League Manager's Association.

After Ince's men stormed to a League 2 title and Johnstone's Paint Trophy Double, the Dons boss has been crowned winner of the LMA's Newfound Resorts fourth quarter award for the 2007/08 season.

Ince got the nod ahead of Premier League and Champions League winner Sir Alex Ferguson, the Manchester United manager, former Chelsea boss Avram Grant and Liverpool chief Rafael Benitez.

It's another reward for the inspirational Dons chief after his first full season in management, and LMA Chief Executive Richard Bevan says it's testimony to Ince's talents.

He said: "Paul's success is richly deserved. He has enjoyed a phenomenal season and we should note that no fewer than 12 of the top 15 places in this quarter awards are filled by managers from outside the Premier League.

"This reflects to wealth of managerial talent we have in this country throughout all levels of the professional game."

Ince was presented with his award by Nicola Evans, the UK Sales & Marketing Executive for Newfound Resorts. As well as the award, Ince receives a top of the line golf driver and a luxury holiday to Newfound's all-season Humber Valley Resort (www.humbervalley.com) in Canada which offers award-winning golf, class A salmon fishing, a luxury spa, various outdoor adventure activities and a wide range of winter sports from snowmobile riding to alpine skiing and snowboarding nearby.

The Awards are run by the League Managers Association and use a unique points-scoring system which enables all 92 professional Premier League and Football League managers to compete on equal terms.
