MINUTE'S SILENCE AT BRADFORD

Posted on: Thu 01 May 2008

Saturday's Coca-Cola League 2 fixture against Bradford City will be preceded by a minute's silence for the supporters that died in the 1985 Bradford City Fire Disaster.

The game at Valley Parade is the nearest to the date of May 11, when 56 supporters lost their lives 23 years ago during a game between the Bantams and Lincoln City.

In addition to the minute's silence, there will be a bucket collection around the stadium with all proceeds going to the University of Bradford Burns Unit.

Bradford City players are also set to form a guard of honour both for Bantams legend David Wetherall on his final Valley Parade appearance, and for the Dons to mark their promotion to League 1.
