EYE ON THE PRIZE

Posted on: Mon 28 Apr 2008

Automatic promotion may already be in the bag, but there's been no let up in training this week as MK Dons look to complete the Double at Bradford City on Saturday.

Having already lifted the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley in March, Paul Ince's team could be crowned League 2 champions this weekend with three points at Valley Parade.

The team also have the chance to equal a Football League record of 18 away wins in a season, set by Doncaster Rovers in 1946/47.

Only Colin Cameron and Drissa Diallo sat out Thursday's lively session at stadiummk, as preparations for the trip to West Yorkshire continued.

Paul Mitchell's comeback from a broken leg suffered 14 months ago continues to gather pace, with the Dons midfielder taking on an increasing amount of work with the first team.

The squad is set to travel north on Friday ahead of the penultimate game of the season, and over a thousand Dons fans are expected to follow them on Saturday.
