MK Dons v Hartlepool United

Dons manager Karl Robinson looks set to have the same squad at his disposal for Saturday's televised visit of Hartlepool United in npower League 1, as his side go in search of a fourth straight home win.

The Dons look set to again be without striker Aaron Wilbraham, midfielder Stephen Gleeson (both back) and defender Gary MacKenzie (knee), while Jude Stirling remains some way short of fitness in his comeback from a groin problem.

Welsh international striker Jermaine Easter, subject to a rejected bid from an unnamed Championship club on transfer deadline day, will compete for an attacking berth with four-goal leading scorer Sam Baldock and the increasingly-impressive Jabo Ibehre.

And wide-man Lewis Guy will also be pushing for a start, having impressed off the bench against both Blackpool and Swindon in recent weeks.

Robinson said on Thursday: "The injured players are all getting there, some can't train yet, but we've got to make sure we get them right because we're coming to a time of year where we play a lot of Saturday-Tuesday games.

"When you're winning games it gives him the chance to take his time and come back fully fit.

The interest shown in his players before the Tuesday's transfer window closure was no surprise to Robinson, but he said the determination to hang on to its top assets is the sign of a bright future for the Club.

Jermaine Easter; MK Dons 4 Blackpool 3

Striker Jermaine Easter was subject to a rejected bid on transfer deadline day.

He said: "We knew people would be interested in Sam because he's a talent, but there were no official approaches for him. There was more of an approach for Jermaine, but it's a 'no' for me.

"Keeping players like Jermaine Easter and Sam Baldock is a sign of our intent. We kept everybody we wanted to keep.

"They're all still here, they're all extremely happy and they can't wait for Hartlepool on Saturday."

Hartlepool, with caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth in charge, have doubts over forward James Brown after he was substituted during the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Northampton with an ankle complaint.

Young goalkeeper Liam Mooney has also been placed on standby while Andy Rafferty waits on the results of an X-ray on his hand.

'Pools have been unchanged for the last six games, but the likes of Richie Humphreys and Fabian Yantorno will be hoping to force their way into contention.
