A last gasp equaliser from Lloyd Dyer gave the MK Dons a share of the points, having been two goals down on the hour mark.

It was a case of deja vu for the Dons, who threw men forward in the second period to peg Barnet back and pick up a point.

Earlier the in the game, the hosts had taken the lead in the first half, before Sean O'Hanlon's equaliser left the sides level at the break.

Then in the second half, the game exploded into life. Goals from Tresor Kandol and Richard Graham had put the hosts comfortably in the lead, but a 69th minute penalty from Ben Chorley set the stage for Dyer's last gasp heroics.

For his return to Underhill, MK Dons boss Martin Allen made just one change to the side that beat Torquay, with Drissa Diallo coming in for Jamie Smith and taking the right back slot.

The game began in tight fashion with few chances for either side. The first shot of the game fell to the Bees' Andy Hessenthaler, who shot wide from distance in the first minute.

The Dons first effort of the game arrived with fifteen minutes played, when the ball broke to Lloyd Dyer from a tight situation on the right, giving the pacy wideman a chance to shoot from 20 yards. Unortunately his effort was well wide and never troubled Lee Harrison in the hosts' goal.

Two minutes later and Dyer was again in the action, collecting a neat pass from Aaron Wilbraham before testing Harrison from 15 yards.

At the other end, Tresor Kandol cam close for the hosts as he muscled his way in on goal, but flashed his effort wide of the left hand post from a tight angle.

Back on the attack, the Dons were presented with a great opportunity to break the deadlock when Izale McLeod collected a headed backpass from Ian Hendon that was never going to get back to Harrison.

The Bees 'keeper did well to force the England Under 21 international wide, and then made a superb double save to deny McLeod, who really had enough time to bury either chance.

The game then continued in very even fashion, with both sides looking to nick an advantage - which finally fell to the home side with 37 minutes played when McLeod was adjudged to have held Kandol in the box at a set piece.

Bees skipper Hendon stepped up and smashed the ball into the top right corner, giving Baines no chance at all.

Having gone behind the Dons were unlucky not to equalise within a minute. Dean Lewington whipped in a dangerous corner, which met the head of Sean O'Hanlon and looked destined to find the net.

However, Barnet striker Liam Hatch was on hand to head the ball away and clear the hosts' lines.

Lewington himself came close with half time approaching, as struck a left foot free kick from 25 yards, forcing Harrison to tip over the bar.

The resulting corner was only half cleared by the Bees, allowing Lewington to loft a cross in from deep, which Wilbraham nodded down for O'Hanlon force home from five yards out.

Then with the interva just moments, it was again McLeod's turn to come close, flashing a shot just wide of Harrison's right hand post.

Both sides started the second periodly brightly, but there was little action until the 52nd minute, when Kandol restored the hosts' advantage.

The Bess seemed to catch the Dons cold with a brisk counter attack, which gave Deamn SInclair even time and space to slide the ball through for Kandol, who made no mistake from 10 yards out, beating Baines with ease.

Four minutes later and the Bees doubled their advantage, when good play from Kandol on the right allowed the striker to cut the ball back for Richard Graham, who powered the ball into the top right corner from no more than ten yards out.

Jon-Paul McGovernAnother two minutes later, and with the Dons really up against it, Baines was forced into a great save down low to his left, turning the ball round the post to deny Sinclair from twenty yards.

Seemingly shell-shocked, the Dons looked to throw men forward and get themselves back in the match. Chances came and went for McLeod and Clive Platt, the latter putting the ball just over the bar from close range while stretching.

Then with 69 minutes on the clock, the Dons were presented a life line with referee Trevor Kettle awarding a penalty after Hendon's tug on Wilbraham in the box.

It was Ben Chorley who took responsibility for the spot kick - Izale McLeod having just been replaced by Scott Taylor - and the Dons centre half made no mistake, stroking the ball into the bottom right corner.

Having got themselves back in the game, the Dons were then rescued by the assistant referee's flag, as the hosts had a headed goal from Kandol chalked off for offside.

Martin Allen then made a string of tactical changes to try and complete the turnaround - throwing men forward into the attack with a 4-2-4 formation.

Eventually, the push forward paid off, when a long ball forward was headed down by Platt for Taylor to side foot at goal. His effort was blocked by Harrison, only for Dyer to snaffle up the rebound and level the scores.

Not content with a point, the Dons continued to attack and go for the win, with the Bees seemingly happy to cling on for a point.

Deep into stoppage time, and Harrison was forced to make a super save to deny McGovern. A hashed clearance fell to the Dons dangerman, who deftly lobbed the ball at goal from 20 yards. Harrison had to backpedal sharply and tip the ball over the bar.

After the final whistle, it was clear to see that the Dons fans and players were the happier of the two sides.

Finding themselves once again two goals behind, Martin Allen's side showed great fight, spirit and tenacity to dig themselves out of a whole and claim what could prove to be a vital point.
