Assistant manager Karl Robinson could barely believe MK Dons had been beaten after scrappy clash with Yeovil at Huish Park.
Midfielder Shaun MacDonald, on loan with the Glovers from Swansea City, settled matters with a moment of rare quality on 23 minutes - arrowing past Willy Gueret from 25 yards after Arron Davies' corner had been cleared.
But after the Dons had dominated a second half in which Yeovil failed to register a shot on goal, Robinson's reaction was one of huge disappointment that Paul Ince's men had failed to take something from the game.
He said: "I thought we were completely and utterly robbed, they didn't have a shot in the second half.
"We had 14 or 15 fifteen shots in the second 45 minutes, six or seven corners, eight or nine throw-ins in the final third. People will say stats don't tell you the whole story, but sometimes it's just not your day.
"It was an absolutely fantastic strike that won the game, but we're bitterly disappointed. The desire and the effort was there and we played well at times.
"We had enough shots, but we didn't hit the target often enough, which limited the saves their 'keeper had to make. Peter Leven had one blocked in the second half, Andros forced a good save, Jermaine Easter had one well saved and Chaddy slipped in front of goal.
"We're happy because we felt we played ok, but we're disappointed for the fans because we all want to win football matches.
"With all the possession we're having, it's just not falling for us."
