DONS DISABILITY TEAM CLINCH CUP
MK Dons Disability Team won the Regional Ability Counts FA Cup on Saturday with a thrilling 4-3 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Dons side, run in conjunction with Football First and managed by Dan Hickling, edged a seven-goal epic against the Seagulls at Brighton Rugby Club to pick up their first piece of silverware in their first competitive season.
Two goals from Roddy O'Neil and another from Keiron Reeves had seen the Dons side twice come from behind, first from 2-0 down and then 3-2, before substitute Oscar Undungu fired a second-half winner.
Despite a late scare which saw from frantic defending from an indirect free-kick in their penalty area, the Dons hung on to lift the London and South East trophy and qualify for the National Finals in Manchester.
Dennis Woolford from Football First said: "It was a great day for the players and a quite remarkable game. Despite the windy conditions, there was plenty of high-quality football from both sides and some cracking goals.
"We were rewarded for the pressure we put on the Brighton goal in the second half."
