Peter Leven's fundraising efforts for Help for Heroes have been boosted by the efforts of a couple celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
clubRed season ticket holders Graham and Marian White from Towcester raised a fantastic £400 at a recent event to celebrate 50 years of marriage.
The couple were on hand at a recent home game to meet Glasgow boy Peter and present him with a cheque, which has now been deposited at his fundraising website www.justgiving.com/peter-leven
The Dons midfielder, whose has been donating £5 for every goal the Dons score this season to the Football League's 2009/10 Charity Partner, has received huge backing from supporters, sponsors and fellow professionals during his campaign.
The former Rangers, Kilmarnock and Chesterfield man has now raised nearly £6,000, with betting giants Betfair already committed to doubling his final total thanks to an agreement with The Sun newspaper.

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of Britain's Armed Forces who have been wounded in service for their country. Adopted as the League's Official Charity Partner at the start of the current campaign, the charity has raised a staggering £40m in the last 28 months to provide care and rehabilitation for those that have made huge sacrifices in the name of Queen and country.
Graham and Marian, who recently upgraded their season tickets to become inaugural clubGold members for the 2010/11 season, are the latest supporters to make a substantial contribution to Peter's own efforts, following 10-year-old Owen Addison and 11-year-old James Patton's £600 sponsored swim and the £2,165 donated by Dons fans at the Club's Armed Forces Day back in December.
And with nine games now remaining in the season, 26-year-old Peter is hoping to push the total as far as possible to raise much-needed funds for a worthy cause.
He said: "This has already got a lot bigger than I thought it would - I just wanted to do my little bit to say thank-you to the Armed Forces, but the way people have responded to support me has been phenomenal.
"My thanks to Graham and Marian - people don't have to make gestures like that, but they've gone out of their way to make a huge contribution so I'm extremely grateful.
"We've got nine games left in the season, so hopefully the boys can keep banging a few goals in and we can get that total up as high as possible."

You may decide, like Peter himself, to make a donation for every goal the Dons score this season and make regular contributions as you go. You might decide to make a one-off pledge for the season as many have done already. Or you might want to wait to see what the Dons' total is at the end of the campaign before you donate. Whichever way you choose to get involved, make sure you check the Gift Aid box to ensure the tax from your donations will also go to Help for Heroes.
