LEVEN'S H4H GETS LEAGUE APPROVAL

Posted on: Thu 12 Nov 2009

The Football League has paid tribute to Dons midfielder Peter Leven, who has pledged his support to Help for Heroes.

Leven has promised to donate five pounds for every goal his side score this season to The Football League's Official Charity Partner.

Football League Director of External Affairs Gavin Megaw thanked the midfielder for his generosity.

He said: "Help for Heroes is an important charity for The Football League and we congratulate and fully support any club or supporter doing their bit to raise funds.

"We want to say a big thank you to Peter for his dedication for such a good cause - and we hope to see plenty more goals this season!"

Pete's donation page, which recently broke the £1,000-mark, has received backing from across the country since its launch three weeks ago, with supporters, team-mates, fellow professionals and sponsors all stepping forward to back his challenge.
