The MK Dons Supporters' Association are the latest group to show their support for Peter Leven's Help for Heroes challenge this week, as the total creeps promisingly towards the £1,000-mark.

Since its launch at the start of October, Pete's challenge, which will see him personally donate £5.00 for every goal MK Dons score during the 2009/10 season to the Football League's official charity partner, has received fantastic support from fans, sponsors and fellow professionals alike.
Team-mates Stephen Gleeson and Aaron Doran, fitness coach Matt Hillyer and Sheffield United striker Jamie Ward are just a few of the names to pledge cash to Pete's cause.
The latest donation has come from the MKDSA's very own football team, who collectively pooled their regular subs from a recent tournament to put towards Peter's quest.
MKDSA Chairman John Brockwell explained: "The team was playing in the recent MK Community Cup, put on by Football First, which is a free tournament to enter, but the lads decided they would pay up their subs anyway and put it into Peter's challenge.
"It's a fantastic cause and we're hoping to offer a lot more support to Peter throughout the season."

Pete's former Chesterfield team-mate Jamie Ward is among those donating to his Help For Heroes challenge. |
After widespread coverage in the local and national media both in England and his native Scotland, Pete's challenge has brought some fantastic responses from the public as well as the Armed Forces themselves.
The Dons midfielder has been invited to visit the Catterick-based Scots Guards in training early next year as a personal thank-you for his efforts to support the nation's injured heroes.
If you'd like to show your support for Peter you can do just that at www.justgiving.com/peter-leven. Whether you're representing a company, a supporter group or just making a personal contribution, all donations will be gratefully received, no matter how big or small. Make sure you also leave a message of support to spur Pete and the team on for the rest of the season.
You may decide, like Peter himself, to make a donation for every goal the Dons score this season and make regular contributions as you go. You might decide to make a one-off pledge for the season as many have done already. Or you might want to wait to see what the Dons' total is at the end of the campaign before you donate. Whichever way you choose to get involved, make sure you check the Gift Aid box to ensure the tax from your donations will also go to Help for Heroes.
