stadiummk hosted its anaugural rugby union match on Saturday when Saracens played Bristol in front of a crowd of 8,050 in the Guinness Premiership.

Sarries' final league fixture of the season, hosted at stadiummk due to the unavailability of their usual home of Vicarage Road, marked England and British Lions legend Richard Hill's farewell appearance before retirement.

And Hill was given the perfect send off as Kameli Ratuvou's dramatic last-minute try snatched victory for the North London club.

Bristol looked set to spoil Hill's final appearance in the famous Saracens black thanks to two tries from Luke Eves, but Ratuvou's late effort in the corner meant Sarries ended the season with a win.

Richard Hill leads out Saracens at stadiummk

Richard Hill gets a terrific reception on his final Saracens appearance.

The 'home' side had raced into an early lead in the first half, debutant Alex Goode sending over a penalty before converting Richard Haughton's try to open up a 10-0 lead.

Ed Barnes opened Bristol's account with a penalty of his own but the traffic was still heading the other way as Noah Cato touched down again for Saracens.

Eves went over after being set up by David Lemi to bring Bristol back into the game and when Barnes added another penalty, Saracens held a slender 15-13 lead at the break.

Eves' impressive try, converted by Barnes, early in the second half gave Bristol the lead for the first time and set up a tense chase for Hill and his team and when Goode's penalty brought them within striking distance the heat was truly on.

With the game heading into its final throws, Saracens won a scrum against the head inside Bristol's 22, the ball was worked wide to Ratuvou and the winger forced his way into the corner.
