With the first team starting to plan for Saturday's trip to Crewe in the senior competition, Mike Dove's Under 18s travel to Bognor this evening as they take on Brighton in the first round of the FA Youth Cup.

In an historic competiton that is always highly anticipated amongst the players, the Dons have been handed a tricky first hurdle and will be severely tested against the Seagulls.

Unlike in Premier League Academy games, no over-age players are allowed to play in this competition, meaning the likes of Sam Baldock and Sam Collins will not be part of the travelling party.

However, Liam Kelly will return to the squad after spending a week on international duty with Scotland Under 18s.

The club enjoyed a great run in the competition last season, overcoming both Fisher Athletic and Lewes on their way to the third round where they were eventually eliminated by Championship Burnley.

Tonight's game will be played at Bognor Regis Town and kicks off at 7.30pm.

Squad to travel: Daniel Bailey, Lucus Banton, Adam Chicksen, Josh Cryan, Daniel Delderfield, Troy Farden, Tom Flanagan, Kurt Fox, Liam Kelly, David King, Stephane Koffi, Miles Mitchell-Coop, Daniel Powell, Oliver Thorne, Laurie Walker, Tom Williams.
