The MK Dons Academy have reached the final of their Academy Tournament in Crete where they will take on AEK Athens.

In the Academy's first trip abroad, the boys from Milton Keynes have impressed as they have notched up four victories to reach the showpiece final which takes place this evening (Monday) as they battle it out with AEK Athens for the Knossos Cup.

The Dons Under-15s kicked off their tournament with a convincing 7-1 win over Rethimno on Friday thanks to an excellent hat-trick from Giorgio Rasulo while Dominic Palmiero, Kevin Danso, Laurence Vaughan and Kabongo Tshimanga were also on the score sheet.

On Saturday the U15s suffered a 2-0 defeat to Atrimitos but bounced back with a 2-1 win over Lido. As a result the Dons finished their group in second place and booked a place in Sunday's quarter-final against Sturm Gratz where they inflicted a crushing 7-1 defeat on their opponents.

Awaiting Dan Micciche's U15s win the semi-final was Atrimitos, the team they lost to in the group stages and the Dons discovered the sweet taste of revenge as they booked their place in tonight's final with a dominant 3-0 win.
