Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said: “This event takes us another step closer to Rugby World Cup 2015 and with tickets set to go on sale this week, too, it is all becoming very exciting.
“The Webb Ellis Cup is one of the most prestigious trophies in sport and it will be fantastic to see it here in our city. I’ll certainly be having my photo taken with it and I’m pleased that everyone else will get a chance to do so as well.”
With up to one million tickets for all 48 matches now on general sale until 29th September 2014, the campaign strapline 'Too Big To Miss' describes the size, scale and stature of Rugby World Cup 2015.
