Spence: There’s more to show supporters

22 August 2014

Versatile defender Jordan Spence is targeting an even higher level of personal performance after his return to stadiummk.

Following two hugely-impressive loan spells at MK1 last season, the former West Ham United man is back but this time on a permanent basis having signed a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

“The support I had last year was fantastic, not only for me personally but for the team as well,” he told MK Dons Player.

“The fans seem to like me so I must have done something right last season! Hopefully they will continue to like me. I feel last year was only a small insight into what I can offer.”

He added: “I’m ready to get started straight away. I’m fully fit in the sense of no niggles, no issues. I've had a bit of a bity summer but I’m here to play and I’ll be throwing my hat into the ring as soon as that is possible.”

Despite a number of excellent performances for the Dons in 2013/14, Spence knows he’s in for a fight to get a starting spot.

He said: “I’m coming in on the back of some good results so far – I’m here to push those that are already here and make this is a better team. If I can do that then it will bode well for everyone.”
