Boss Karl Robinson has revealed the Club has not appealed the red card issued to Alan Smith during Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Barnsley at stadiummk.

The MK Dons striker was dismissed in the 90th minute for serious foul play. While the manager does not agree with the red card, following unsuccessful appeals to overturn red cards issued to Stephen Gleeson and Antony Kay earlier in the season, the decision was made not to enter the FA appeal process.

As a result, Smith – who was shown a straight red earlier in the season – will now serve a four-match ban. The former Newcastle United forward will miss the npower League 1 trips to Carlisle United and Portsmouth as well as home fixtures against Preston North End and Doncaster Rovers.
