MK Dons Girls Centre of Excellence starlet Abbie Roberts will be looking to represent her country for a second time on Friday.
“It has been a real honour to play for England and it’s been very memorable,” Roberts told mkdons.com. “I was both nervous and excited. It was certainly my proudest moment and it has made me want more England appearances.
“I have also been lucky enough to attend four England Camps before. I have found the camps very beneficial to my game and I’ve met a lot of great girls from around the country.”
Roberts has been with the Dons for five seasons and believes she has developed immensely under the guidance of her coaches.
“This is my fifth season at MK Dons. The coaching team have always made the training challenging but also enjoyable. We have a great bunch of girls, who I have enjoyed some great matches and tours with.
She continued: “I will be continuing to work hard with MK Dons on my lifestyle, fitness and football education. I also have personal targets from the FA to work hard on to help me reach my full potential.”
Good luck, Abbie!
