Robbo and Dons remain focused

26 February 2015

Karl Robinson isn’t getting distracted by results elsewhere in Sky Bet League 1 as his side continue to focus solely on themselves.

The gap between the Dons and Bristol City was extended to five points after the Robins’ 3-1 triumph over Doncaster Rovers in midweek, while victories for Swindon Town and Preston North End brought them closer to the final automatic place, which the men from MK1 currently occupy.

However, Robinson, whose side travel to Coventry City this weekend, believes the midweek wins could be a blessing in disguise, knowing that his players must now maintain their high performance levels.

“I’m glad they all won in midweek because it means we can’t come off it now,” Robinson told the media. “In all honesty, though, I didn’t even blink an eyelid at the results.

“They all won but they haven’t gone above us. We’ve lost a few games but Bristol City and Swindon have lost games too.

“While all that was going on, no-one was really paying attention to Preston because they had their FA Cup run.”

Tickets for Saturday’s clash at Coventry City are available to buy right up until kick-off – tickets are priced at £22 for adults, £15 for seniors, £15 for U21s and £11 for U16s.
