Reeves heads out on Northern Ireland duty

28 May 2015

Ben Reeves has joined up with the Northern Ireland squad ahead of their international friendly against Qatar this Sunday.

The midfielder, who returned from injury to help the Dons clinch promotion to the Championship on the final day of the League 1 season, is one of 28 players selected by Michael O’Neill for the clash, which takes place at the home of Crewe Alexandra.

Sunday’s friendly will be used as a warm-up for Northern Ireland’s crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Group F leaders Romania next month. The Green and White Army sit one spot behind Central Europeans and will go above them into first-place with a win.

Also included in O’Neill’s squad is striker Will Grigg, who spent the 2014/15 on loan with the Dons. Right-back Lee Hodson is on standby should anyone drop out due to injury.
