To mark the occasion, the Webb Ellis Trophy was in the Club Superstore on Wednesday afternoon.
Olympic Silver Medallist and MK resident Gail Emms (pictured) was in attendance, as where fans who had their photo taken with the famous trophy.
“It’s starting to get real now,” said MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman. “It’ll be an amazing time for us. I think of the Olympics in London and the buzz it created everywhere. It created a legacy.
“But this is going to be in Milton Keynes and 10 years ago, you’d have never imagined that we could have this experience up front and be part of the Rugby World Cup."
stadiummk will host three RWC2015 fixtures next October:
France v Canada, Thursday 1st October
Samoa v Japan, Saturday 3rd October
Fiji v Russia or Uruguay, Tuesday 6th October
