Karl: We deserved our luck

30 November 2015

Karl Robinson believes his side deserved their luck on Saturday against Wolves.

Despite not creating as many chances as their hosts, the Dons were able to take a point away from Molineux thanks to a terrific defensive display and fifth clean-sheet of the season.

“It was a great point,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We certainly rode our luck in parts of the game and they missed a number of chances but I felt we deserved our luck with how hard we worked.

“We’ve been cursed with a lack of luck over the course of the season but it does come back and help you at certain stages.”

He continued: “In the first half we were disjointed and we looked all over the place but I was pleased with how we got it back together in the second half.

“I thought Carl Baker made a difference when he came on - he gave us a little bit more bite and determination.

“We know we were far from our best but when you come to Molineux and you get a point, you have to take it.”

Next up for Robinson's Dons is a trip to Griffin Park to face Brentford - tickets are priced from £23 adults and £6 under-18s while travel is available at £13 adults and £12 all other supporters.

“But we’ve only conceded one now in our last two games. We’ve not scored many goals but we’ve got two points in the last two games against sides like Fulham and Wolves and that’s nice to see.”

“This league is so unforgiving so we know we’ve got to play better. If we play like that every week then we’re not going to get anything.

Saturday’s result saw the Dons climb three places to 19th in the Sky Bet Championship table but Robinson knows his players will have to do better if they are to stay out of the relegation zone.
