Ipswich Town 1 Ladies 0

1 October 2013

MK Dons Ladies suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday as they were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich Town.

John Dyer’s side were unbeaten in four heading into this weekend, although they hadn’t won since their opening day triumph over, ironically, the Tractor Girls.

The Ladies they fell behind just five minutes before half-time courtesy of a well-taken free-kick from an Ipswich midfielder, who beat ‘keeper Tripp Witney from 25 yards out.

The Dons came out for the second half with a new sense of focus and they dominated for large spells as they tried to carve out an equaliser, which would have seem them extended their unbeaten run.

However, the visitors failed to make the most of their chances which meant another frustrating afternoon for Dyer and his side, who slipped to seventh with the loss.
