Centre-back Harry Hickford will remain with Chelmsford City for the rest of the season.
The initial loan deal ran until the middle of January but it has now been extended until the end of April.
Hickford has played the full 90 minutes in each of the Clarets’ six outings since he arrived at the Melbourne Stadium just before Christmas.
The 18-year-old spent time on loan with the Vanarama Conference South sides last season, making seven appearances and helping the Essex club avoid relegation.
