18 April 2015

Today's fixture with Leyton Orient will also play host to the Big Green Day, which is a a FREE event for spectators and shoppers to learn about ‘being green’ in Milton Keynes.

There will be a variety of activities, competitions and initiatives for everyone to get involved in, such as Smoothie Bikes, Recycle workshops and live music from MK Brass, before the Dons take on the O’s at 3pm.

One of the goals behind this event is to encourage people to travel to stadiummk in an alternative than driving. People can register to join one of The Parks Trust's four walking or cycling routes

The walks will start from four parks around the ground and leave at varying times, they are: Furzton (1pm), Caldecotte (1pm), Ashlands (1.30pm) and Grand Union Canal (by the rugby ground, 12.30pm).

The four walks will be guided by Parks Trust employees and Scouts and will vary in length between 30 and 45 minutes and will use the redways around the city.

Anyone who does attend stadiummk one of the routes will receive a free drink and a pack of biscuits to be redeemed at Kiosk 8 prior to half-time.
