Get involved with our Disability teams

5 April 2013

MK Dons Sport and Education Trust offer a number of Disability and Special Needs Football sessions in and around the Milton Keynes area.

All group coaching sessions are lead by a qualified MK Dons Sport and Education Trust coach who is also CRB cleared. All groups have other staff and volunteers who are qualified to at least FA level 1 in football coaching, which includes child protection and basic emergency aid.

All of the sessions take place locally in and around Milton Keynes, and the emphasis is always based on ‘everyone plays’. When players are involved in competitive events representing MK Dons FC Disability they play in the Club’s kit and colours. They play against other local and professional clubs disability teams.

There are a number of different ways to be involved with the MK Dons FC Disability teams, these include playing and volunteering whether it be coaching, driving a bus, taking a register or raising money for the teams.

If you are a player with a Disability and/or Special Need then we would be more than happy to see you at one of our training sessions. We offer PAN disability sessions as well as disability specific. Most of our sessions take place at Woughton on the Green, this venue is an indoor 3G Astro Turf.

We look to up skill all volunteers and have a very good track record of helping coaches progress through their badges, players have also completed FA Level 1 coaching courses.
