First-year scholar Connor Furlong has joined-up with Scotland Under-16s ahead of the 3rd Copa Mexico de Naciones 2014.
Scotland have been placed in Group A along with Honduras, Ecuador and the hosts, Mexico, with their first game, against the Hondurans, taking place this Saturday. Archie Gemmill’s side will then face Ecuador on Sunday before doing battle with the Mexicans on Monday.
The top two teams from each group will then progress through to the quarter-finals, which take place next week. Should Scotland progress to the knockout stages, they could come up against the likes of Brazil, Argentina or Portugal.
mkdons.com will have the latest on Connor and Scotland’s progress once the games get underway on Saturday.
