Free-scoring Dons top Football League

The Dons were the highest scorers in the Football League this season with 101 goals to their name.

Karl Robinson’s side, who netted 116 in all competitions, finished ahead of Sky Bet Championship winners AFC Bournemouth (98), Sky Bet League 1 champions Bristol City (96), and Premier League-bound Watford (91).

The men from MK1 also led the Football League’s 72 clubs in terms of goals scored on their own patch (60) and home goal difference (41).

What’s more, they finished in the Top 10 in most other categories including points, wins, fewest defeats and clean sheets.
