Dons announce 2014/15 apprentices

29 May 2014

MK Dons can today confirm the players who have been offered apprenticeships for next season.

Callum Brittain, Connor Furlong, Jack Hadden, Adam Hunt, Andrew McCorkell, Kevin Owusu, Dominic Palmiero and Joe Steele have all been handed the chance to become first-year scholars for the 2014/15 campaign, as well as Danny Collinge, who featured on the bench for the first-team last season.

Goalkeeper Wim Van Der Schoot was offered an apprenticeship deal but has decided to pursue full-time education while a decision on the future of Jacob Cox has been deferred.

The scholars will be based at the Dons’ Woughton-on-the-Green training ground on a full-time basis from July as they look to develop and improve as part of their progression towards realising their goal of becoming professional footballers.

They will all link up with next season’s second-year scholars Jacob Daffern, Gedeon Okito, Ben Tilney, Luke Tingey, Kabongo Tshimanga, Laurence Vaughan, Aaran Weston and Kyran Wiltshire to form Mike Dove’s Under-18s side.

The Club would also like to place on record its best wishes to Thomas Bradbury, Elliot Simmons, Bradley Singh, Tom Whitehouse and first-year scholar Ben Taylor, who will all be leaving the Academy this summer.
