Danny Collinge played 40 minutes in England Under-16s’ Montaigu Tournament opener against Saudi Arabia last night.
The young defender replaced Manchester United’s Ro-Shaun Williams at half-time but couldn’t prevent the Young Lions from suffering a frustrating 2-0 defeat in Mareuil Sur Lay.
Kenny Swain’s side fell behind after just 19 minutes before the Saudi Arabians doubled their lead seven minutes later.
England take on South Korea at the same venue on Thursday before heading to Portugal in Chateau d’Olonee.
Meanwhile, Dele Alli and Brendan Galloway will be hoping to feature for England Under-18s in their tough clash with Germany this evening.
Neil Dewsnip’s team face their German counterparts at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium at 7.30pm with Alli and Brendan after their 12th and seventh England caps respectively.
