Burns also in seventh heaven

22 December 2014

While his team-mates beat Oldham Athletic by seven goals at stadiummk, goalkeeper Charlie Burns was also in seventh heaven with loan club Truro City on Saturday.

Burns, making his seventh appearance for the White Tigers, helped the Devon outfit secure their fifth straight win with a 7-2 thrashing of Histon at Treyew Road.

Despite falling behind, Steve Tully’s men rallied back in style to collect another valuable win, one which moves them to seventh in the Evo-Stick League Southern Premier Division table.

Elsewhere, Summerfield started on the bench for Arlesey Town as they went down 2-0 away at Redditch United, while Tom Hitchcock was an unused substitute for Fleetwood Town in their 1-1 draw away at Coventry City.

Defender Harry Hickford has also returned to the Club following his loan spell at Boreham Wood. The 18-year-old made two appearances during his time in Berkshire.
