Karl Robinson lauded his side’s display in their draw with Cardiff City on Saturday.
Robinson’s Dons held the play-off chasing Bluebirds at the Cardiff City Stadium, securing their eighth clean sheet of the campaign and an important point which keeps them out of the bottom three in the Sky Bet Championship.
“Off the back of Chelsea, to go and keep a clean-sheet – our eighth of the season – is something to build and progress from,” Robinson said after Saturday’s clash.
“I thought defensively we looked very good, with last-ditch defending and an ability to rotate and fill spaces in our own penalty area.
“Kyle and Joe looked really strong. It was George’s first ever game in the Championship today and I was really pleased with him. Pottsy and Jake showed tremendous maturity and quality as well.”

Robinson handed Jay Emmanuel-Thomas his Dons debut during the second half of the game and the Liverpudlian says he’ has been pleased with the striker’s work ethic during his first week at the Club.
“We grew into the game and we finished the game stronger, which was pleasing for me.”
“The last five minutes of the first half they really dominated and for the first 20 minutes of the second half they were outstanding. We found it difficult to cope and we rode our luck, Dave made two wonderful saves.
He continued: “I thought the first half was very even, maybe we shaded the first 40 minutes.
“It was great to see them here. For both sets of fans to turn out on a very difficult afternoon deserves tremendous credit.”
