The Dons’ Top Recruiter for the summer of 2014, Peter Barry, visited the Club Superstore last week to collect his free shirt.
“All I did was pass on my experience and enthusiasm,” the 74-year-old told mkdons.com. “It’s friendly and I like the atmosphere as well as the people I sit near, plus you get the sun on you in the stand I’m in!
“I’ve always been a follower of the Dons but I only used to come to midweek games and the odd Saturday game because I spent the weekends with my wife.
“After she passed away three years ago, my children, who knew how much I liked going to the Dons, clubbed together and bought me a season ticket which I’ve renewed every year since.
“I couldn’t care about what’s happening in the Premier League, there’s more enthusiasm for the game in the lower divisions.”
Fans can still buy half-season tickets on a pro-rata basis and secure their seat at stadiummk for all of the Dons’ remaining home league games.
There are a number of mouth-watering clashes taking place during that time with Sheffield United, current league leaders Bristol City, Peterborough United and Preston North End all set to visit MK1, home of the high-flying Dons!
