Baker full of belief

17 April 2015

Lewis Baker says he and his team-mates are hungry for success, as they prepare to head into the final four games of the season.

The Chelsea loanee scored the opening goal in the Dons’ 3-0 triumph away at Fleetwood Town – a result which moved the men from MK1 to within three points of the automatic promotion places heading into Saturday’s clash with Leyton Orient at stadiummk.

“We’re aiming for automatic,” he told reddot. “Preston are within reach and we’re going to chase them down as best we can.

“With the quality that we’ve got here, we believe we can get automatic promotion and there isn’t a reason why we shouldn’t. If it’s not to be, then the boys will be as hungry as can be for the play-offs, I’m sure.

“I really think we can do it. It’s been a great season so far and hopefully we can make it even better by getting promoted, whether that be through the play-offs or automatically.”

Read more from Baker in this Saturday’s edition of reddot – the 19-year-old discussed his two spectacular goals at stadiummk, parent club Chelsea and why he’s enjoying his time in Milton Keynes.

Reddot is available for just £3 from sellers around the ground, the Box office at stadiummk and the Club Superstore. Mobile users can download a digital version using the Matchday Digital app.
