Ability Counts Day a big success

9 March 2015

MK Dons’ fifth Ability Counts Big Day was a big success at the weekend.

The event promoted the Club’s facilities to current and new disabled supporters, as well as highlighting the fantastic achievements of the MK Dons Sport and Education Trust's disability teams and encouraged new disabled players to 'Come and Try' taster sessions including not just football but also other sports.

stadiummk is proud to boast some of the country’s best disabled facilities for football fans with specified disabled parking, fantastic access for wheelchair users, hearing and visually impaired facilities and a safe, secure environment for supporters to enjoy watching professional football.

As well as discounted tickets being available to disabled supporters, over 220 Dons and Preston North End supporters took part in a half-time parade at stadiummk.

Seventeen disability teams were also in attendance forming the guard of honour as the teams made their way on to the pitch and acting as flagbearers.

What's more, an MK Dons disability player was mascot for the day, which included carrying the matchball!

The Club would like to thank those who helped make the day a success, including those who took part and both sets of supporters for the reception they provided during the parade.
