Stadium MK to play host to England Women

27 February 2017

Stadium MK will host England Women’s final home game before this summer’s Euros.

The Lionesses will take on Austria at Stadium MK on Monday 10th April – kick-off 7.45pm.

England last played Austria away in August 2010, winning 4-0 thanks to a brace from Kelly Smith and a goal apiece for Ellen White and Alex Scott.

Arsenal defender Scott said: “We’re really looking forward to this game, especially as it’s the last chance to play in front of our supporters before the Euros.

“We had such a good crowd for our match against USA and they really got behind us, so we hope we have the same against Austria.

“It’s important that we build momentum ahead of the tournament and these games are the perfect opportunity to do just that.  We’ll be going all out for the win and hopefully it’ll be a really good game for people to come and watch.”

Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "We are honoured and proud to be hosting our second England Women's fixture at Stadium MK.

"I’m sure it will be another fantastic occasion and we are all looking forward to welcoming The Lionesses back once again, especially in Milton Keynes' 50th anniversary year."

Tickets for the game are on sale now, priced £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available at £15 while group booking and charter standard discounts apply. Booking fees apply.
