Richie Barker is looking forward to reuniting his ex-colleague Karl Robinson this weekend.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him as I’m sure everybody is,” Barker told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“When we walked off the pitch after Spennymoor three or four weeks ago, we didn’t really know what was around the corner. Firstly, the draw and viewing it is a difficult one and then obviously with Karl going there – it is one of strange twists that only football can throw up.”
“At the end of the day, it’s an FA Cup tie and it’s an opportunity to get through to the Third Round which I think is one of the best days in English football – you can get anything happening with the very best joining the competition.
Therefore, Barker will be making sure the Dons will treat the match with the same application and attitude.
Sentiments aside, though, Saturday’s tie is a chance for the Dons to build on last weekend’s victory at Coventry City and progress through to the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup for the fifth time in six years.
