Reaction: Pre-season double-header

18 July 2016

Young Dons Oran Jackson and Giorgio Rasulo react to MK Dons’ double-header against Cambridge City and St. Ives Town on Saturday afternoon...

ORAN JACKSON
On friendly with Cambridge...
“The pitch wasn’t great but there’s no excuse (for the defeat) but the pitch wasn’t great. The opposition gave us a good run-out and it was good to see where we are at.”

On pre-season so far...
“It’s good to get back on the pitch, get the minutes in and see where we are at before the new season.”

On being with the first-team...
“It’s been very tough but it’s the environment I want to be in and it’s the environment I want to prove that I can stay in. Hopefully I can stick in it.”

On proving himself in the friendlies...
“It’s a good time to show what I have got in front of the fans, the manager and everyone, really.”

GIORGIO RASULO
On testing conditions...
“The pitch wasn’t great but we respected the opponent. We came here and got minutes and that’s what we really wanted from the game.”

On pre-season so far...
“It’s been pretty intense but that’s what you need. You’ve been off for two months and you need to get back into the swing of things. Doing things so soon after the other is the way to do it.”

On personal progress...
“I want to keep building from every single performance. I feel like I’m getting more match sharp as the games go on and that’s what I want from them.”

On upcoming friendlies...
“We’ve got some good games coming up. I’m looking forward to them, definitely.”
