James Honeyman is looking for MK Dons Ladies to find a winning habit this season, and he believes his side can beat Charlton Athletic to help start that trend.
Honeyman’s Dons visit the Addicks at The Sporting Club, Thamesmead this Sunday afternoon – kick-off 2pm.
Honeyman, speaking about the game, said: " Winning can become a habit, and we need to start that habit as soon as possible, we have won two out of three so far, so the progress is there to see.
"Charlton are a top four team in the league above, and we know they will be a very tough test. Do I think we can beat them? Yes."
Last season, the Addicks narrowly missed out on finishing top of the Southern Division, with them ending up in 2nd place, just two points behind eventual champions Brighton & Hove Albion WFC, whereas the Dons finished 3rd in the South East Division 1.
The Addicks are expected to be at full strength for the game against with their season's start just a week away.
The Dons, meanwhile, are boosted by the returns of Rebecca Vass and Charley Wright, who will provide further attacking options for the team, which were missing against Long Eaton United Ladies last Sunday.
Honeyman is also using the game against the Addicks to help him decide on his starting line-up for the first game of the season, an away match to Denham United LFC.
Honeyman said: "The beauty of our squad is we have two players who are more than capable of starting in every position.
"The Charlton game will help us know more about our players, and should give us insight as to who could start the first game, however as of now, everyone is in contention."
This is the final pre-season game for The Dons, ahead of the season’s start on Sunday 21st August.
