Minute's silence observed

27 March 2017

A minute’s silence was observed before kick-off in all of the EFL fixtures at the weekend in memory of the victims of the attacks in Westminster on Wednesday.

The MK Dons staff, players and fans paid tribute to those killed and injured during a series of incidents in London prior to their Sky Bet League One encounter at Port Vale.

Ahead of the weekend, an EFL spokesperson said: “On Wednesday afternoon, attacks in the Westminster area of London claimed innocent lives and injured many more.

“Everyone associated with Football is united in denouncing the mindless actions that have led to British citizens and tourists to our capital becoming victims, losing their lives or suffering unnecessary harm.

“One of the victims PC Palmer, was killed while on duty and special tribute must be paid to the emergency services who acted bravely and decisively in the aftermath.”
