Hugo Logan and Sam Nombe have signed professional contracts at MK Dons.
The duo put pen to paper on Friday and will become part of the first-team squad in 2017/18.
Head apprentice Logan, a creative midfielder, made 25 appearances for the Under-18s in 2016/17 while he was also included in the first-team squad for the final-day fixture at Walsall.
Nombe, meanwhile, is an athletic, hard-working forward who found the net 13 times in 32 appearances for the U18s last season.
The two 18-year-olds, who created 39 chances and assisted 12 goals for the youth team in the past campaign, know the Club extremely well with Logan and Nombe having been here since U10 and U11 respectively.
Manager Robbie Neilson told mkdons.com: “Hugo and Sam both have good potential and they are further examples of the fine work being done by our Academy.”
Director of youth Mike Dove told mkdons.com: “Robbie has been a big supporter of the youth and his arrival gave people a fresh opportunity - Hugo and Sam grabbed it and I’m delighted that their hard work has paid off.
“Sam wasn’t a cert for an apprenticeship two years ago but he has really knuckled down and worked extremely hard to get to where he is now. He never gave up and that’s a fantastic attribute.
“Hugo has received a lot of attention during his time with us and he’s gone through an interesting journey but, like Sam, he’s committed to grasping this opportunity. They are both talented players and I look forward to seeing them develop.
“Our job is to produce first-team players and to have four from the eight, including Brandon and Oran, is a fantastic achievement. It’s credit to the Academy coaches and staff – we are very proud of that.”
The remaining four second-year scholars have been informed that they will not be offered professional contracts.
Andrew Osei-Bonsu, Peter Kioso, Juma Omar and Harry Stratton leave the Club with everyone’s best wishes for the future.
Dove added: “George Williams was released like these four boys have been but he went away, worked hard and came back – if they believe in themselves, they can achieve. It’s down to them but George has shown them it can be done.
“I’d like to wish them all the best – they will always be a part of the MK Dons family.”
