George C Williams has been named in the Wales squad for their first World Cup 2018 qualifier.
Wales, fresh from their excellent showing at Euro 2016, begin their World Cup qualification campaign with a home fixture against Group D rivals Moldova on Monday 5th September.
As a result of his call-up, Williams will be unavailable for the Dons’ Sky Bet League One clash with Northampton Town which takes place just a day before Wales’ match with Moldova.
Due to the Dons’ TV commitments that Sunday lunchtime, the fixture cannot be postponed due to international call-ups, regardless of how many players are selected for duty.
