Dean and Dons to part ways

25 April 2017

Dean Bowditch will leave MK Dons at the end of the current campaign.

The 30-year-old has scored 48 goals in 227 appearances for the Club and played an important role in the men from MK1 winning promotion to the Sky Bet Championship in 2014/15.

Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “Dean has been an important member of the squad for a long period of time and we will always be grateful for what he’s done for the Club.

“He helped us win promotion and also scored some crucial and memorable goals. I’d like to wish Dean all the best in the future.”

Bowditch said: “I've enjoyed some fantastic memories during six years at MK Dons but all great things come to an end and it's time for a new challenge.

“I will never forget the night against Manchester United, promotion to the Championship and scoring the winning goal against AFC Wimbledon earlier this season.

“I wouldn’t have been able to achieve those things without the support of the chairman, the staff and my team-mates over the six years. I’d also like to say a massive thank you to the fans for their continued support.

“I wish the Club all the best for the future.”

The Club would like to thank Dean for his superb contribution during his time at Stadium MK and wish him every success in the future.
