Blair full of belief

27 April 2017

MK Dons Under-15s captain Louis Blair believes it will take the team working as a unit to defeat Manchester United this evening at Stadium MK.

Blair will lead the Under-15s out tonight for the Gwen and Jim Mann Academy Challenge Match, which this season sees the young Dons come up against Man Utd. Kick-off is at 7pm.

And while the visitors from Manchester United will pose a difficult test for him and his team-mates, Blair is confident they can come out on top – as long as they stick together.

“To beat Manchester United we’ll need to be on our game,” the midfielder told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We’ll need to encourage each other as well – encouragement is the main thing.”

As well as an opportunity to register a memorable win, tonight’s match also provides the young Dons with a chance to experience playing in front of supporters at Stadium MK – an opportunity that Blair is relishing.

“I’m looking forward to the experience. It’s about dealing with playing on the pitch and getting used to having fans around you.  I’m sure it will really help me with my career.”

“As a captain, I’ll take things step-by-step with the players and try to help them through it as much as I can.”
