Baldock & Co comfortably beat Walsall 4-1 in their season finale at the Banks’s Stadium – a result which secured them a top-half finish in Sky Bet League One and capped off what has been a strong second half of the campaign from the Dons.

“It was pleasing,” the right-back told MK Dons PlayerHD. “(The win) gives a lot of confidence to the boys and all the fans that hopefully we can push on next season.

Baldock added: “Hopefully we can give it a right good push next season – it’s certainly exciting times.”

“We were never going to ease up on Walsall because knows how important it is to try and give create that excitement for the fans ahead of next season.”

“That platform gives our attacking players the freedom to go and express themselves.”

“Since the gaffer’s come in we’ve been a lot more solid at the back and I think that showed in the game.

While the headlines from last weekend’s finale will be about the four goals scored, credit must also go to the Dons’ defence which limited the Saddlers to very few chances.
